Homegrown in Southern Oregon
My wife and I own and operate this small family business in Southern Oregon, near Ashland. We are both retired scientists who bring some 60+ years of environmental, pharmaceutical, and healthy ideas to this business. We are surrounded by the forests of Southern Oregon and our farm is located on a west facing gentle slope that receives the sun's rays practically all day!
Our farm is on Pompadour Drive, a name we are fascinated with. This street name today probably emanates from a rocky outcropping high on a hillside to the south and west of our farm. The name Pompadour is originally derived from the Marquise de Pompadour, the mistress of the French King Louis XV, who actually did not wear her hair swept upwards. Today “pompadour” derives from a hair style brought forward after the time of the Marquise and seen everywhere now through today’s hairstyles perhaps not better known than seen with Elvis Presley.
